Sarah Britton, a certified yoga instructor is committed to helping people find physical and mental balance through a safe, customized yoga practice. Yoga lowers blood pressure, decreases asthma attacks and increases flexibility, strength and self confidence! I received my certification at Lotus Gardens, LLC in Sherman, CT in 2003. Since then I have continued my education with internationally renown yoga masters such as Brain Kest, Shiva Rea, David Swenson and Sean Corne. I am honored to be the only yoga instructor on staff at the UCONN Recreation Department and to serve as a faculty member on the Lotus Gardens Teacher Training program. As a student of yoga for twelve years, I have personally experienced the transformational power of yoga- a 5,000 year old discipline using breathing, postures and meditation. My approach to teaching is to incorporate each student’s needs individually to create a distinctive and beneficial experience.
